    • Hey Al,you were looking forward to Mark Keeley, what did you think of the night? I had a great time, but that was more to do with socialising than dancing! A few more jivers than with the Rat Pack.Am I getting old..I thought the volume was cranked up too high & distorted the sound a bit?Could have been to close too the speakers!Maggie

    • hello . thinking about setting up a skiffle week in Brighton Acoustic sets what does folk reakon. Anyone up for it?

    • Do you love the 1950s?

Do you identify with 1950s styles and vintage clothes?

Like rock n’ roll? (or any other music from the 40s/50s)

If the answer to any of these is ‘yes’ then I want to hear from you as I would like to interview people who are interested in the 1950s.

For more information please email Stella, love1950s@sussex.ac.uk. Hope to hear from you soon!

    • Hiya, I've been to Horsham drill hall a few times now and have loved it there. So much so i've taken up jive lessons, but alas I don't have a partner. Would anyone be interested in partnering me at Dormansland on Thursday evenings, Kav Kavanagh is the teacher. Any replys to jive_bunny@yahoo.co.uk. Fingers crossed.

Kav Kavanagh: As Debbies dance teacher, I recommend her to any prospective partner. She can dance very well having only had 3 lessons with me...go for it

    • How about the FIRETONES fantastic band seen them lots of times

    • Hi Al. Not everything was "Boppable" in my book. I need a faster beat, like Wildwind last month! However the crowd were a bit odd too then as every opportunity was there for people to jive, stroll and bop....whatever their preference. They seemed to play for the boppers though cos the people that bopped were pretty much the only ones that seemed to put in some effort, get off their butts and dance. Whatever style they tried most people just stood ther gaping at the band!? The band must have fealt very deflated as they REALLY worked hard to put on a show. Ratpack "seemed" uninterested. Will I like Mark Keeley? Not sure, but I'll give it a shot. Would like to see some CLASS stuff though!
